The LED construction light with CEE connection module has been specially designed for setting up temporary lighting on construction sites.

Construction sites are workplaces with special hazards and specific safety requirements. Inadequate construction site lighting can lead to tripping or falling accidents during work.

In the event of a power outage, the lighting must ensure that potentially dangerous work can be safely completed. This can be achieved, for example, by using batteries. So-called buffer batteries are particularly recommended for the required continuous lighting of construction sites.

The LED construction light is pre-assembled and ready for immediate use with the NEO CEE connection module.
This allows even laypeople to easily mount and safely connect the construction light to the low-voltage network. Furthermore, it enables the installer to plan with cost optimization through short installation times.

All components of the construction light are mounted on a robust mounting plate made of galvanized steel sheet and can be quickly and easily attached to the ceiling or wall. Alternatively, the construction light is also available with an OSB board. With the total protection class IP54, the construction light offers complete touch, splash water, and dust protection. The impact-resistant cover provides additional protection and evenly distributes the LED light without visible LED points for homogeneous general lighting.

The connection module allows for through-wiring and is optionally available with an additional CEE socket for creating a branch (e.g., for lighting multiple rooms). Replacing the construction light is very easy and can be done in just a few minutes. A complete shutdown of the entire lighting system is not necessary for this. Thus, necessary changes or extensions to the construction lighting can be implemented at any time and with absolute flexibility during the construction progress.

RECOMMENDED SERIES CONNECTION:

It is important to know that in order to ensure the safe shutdown of the circuit breakers in the socket distributors shown below, we recommend a series connection of up to 25 construction lights and a maximum total length of connection cables with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² of 250 meters.

SIMPLY PREVENT UNDESIRED POWER CONSUMPTION SPECIAL CODING AND LOCKABLE PLUG SYSTEM

Usually, several trades work simultaneously on a construction project, and most of them require a power supply to perform their tasks. Unfortunately, this often leads to unwanted power theft. The so-called "power theft" is a recurring issue on construction sites. If the power for the construction site lighting is stolen, this can have serious consequences for operational safety.

To prevent unwanted power theft from the outset, the NEO CEE plug connector is equipped with a special coding (1h marking). Additionally, there is an eyelet for attaching a padlock, making the plug system lockable at any time.

Ban on T8 fluorescent tubes Upgrade to LED lights in time

Since September 2021, so-called energy-saving lamps (light sources with integrated ballasts) are no longer allowed to be placed on the EU market.

As of August 25, 2023, according to the Ecodesign Regulation (EU) 2019/2020 - also known as the Single Lighting Regulation (SLR) or One Lighting Regulation (1LR) - this also applies to T5 and T8 fluorescent tubes, as well as most types of halogen lamps.

The ban applies to T8 tubes, in particular those with standard sizes of 18, 36, and 58 watts or 600 mm, 1,200 mm, and 1,500 mm. Exceptions apply to T8 tubes in special lengths, such as 30 watts with 910 mm, 36 watts with 985 mm, and 38 watts with 1,060 mm - these are still allowed.
